About

From small beginnings in 1850s Brighton, the University of Brighton (UoB) has grown into a complex and diverse institution based in two locations across the south coast of England. Students get to be part of a dynamic, diverse, creative community that embraces partnership and makes a positive difference in society.

The University of Brighton is also the leading university for many professions, particularly medicine, nursing, engineering and pharmacy, with 18,000 students and 2,300 staff studying and working at four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne. Courses, from undergraduate to research level and from the humanities to the natural sciences, encourage students to apply their academic knowledge to the world beyond the university to become active and fruitful members of their local communities.
