    Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Mature Student Status Grade 12 English (C or U) (minimum 60 per cent) Grade 11 or 12 biology (C, M or U) Grade 11 or 12 chemistry (C, M or U) One additional senior-level credit Clinic Requirements: Clinic practice is an opportunity for students to extend learning and apply practical skills before entering their field placement experience. Field placement allows students to gain experience beyond the clinical environment within a general dentistry setting  in the community. This is a consolidation period, where further development of knowledge, skills, and attitude will occur with continued hands-on learning opportunities. The 96-hour field placement in a general dental office occurs at the end of Semester 2 and will run for approximately one month. Pre-clinic Requirements: There are costs associated with Electronic Student Permit Checking (ESPC), immunizations, lab tests, and certifications.  Be sure to keep all of your receipts for income tax purposes. These costs include: Service fees for Verified, our documentation collection and ESPC verification partner. Costs to complete mandatory immunizations, lab tests, and certifications. It is required that students have completed the ESPC with Verified to be eligible for the clinic practice component of this program. You must (at your expense) provide: A clear and current Criminal Reference Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) - CRCs with VSS must be obtained from your local police station. You may be required to obtain additional CRCs with VSS to meet field placement agency requirements. If you are under the age of 18, you may complete the Student Declaration Form as a substitute until you are able to receive a CRC from your police station. CPR Level C from a recognized provider within one year of the issue date. Current standard first aid certification from a recognized provider. Entry immunization form completed by a health-care provider. English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0 (5.5 Each) PTE Academic - 64 TOEFL (PBT) - 88 (Each 22) Note: Applicants with an Indian or Pakistani passport are required to submit official Academic IELTS test scores with a minimum overall score of 6.0, with no band score below 6.0, as per SDS guidelines.
